Kentucky State University Site Design
EHI provided the civil engineering site design for the addition of a Production Technology Laboratory in the Aquaculture Department at Kentucky State University. The design phase includes site development, parking, grading, drainage, storm water management, and erosion control. This project is also being designed for potential LEED certification.

Bluegrass Airport Civil Design
EHI has numerous projects with the Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Kentucky. Working on projects ranging from Environmental Assessments to Civil Design, EHI has been involved in the following projects:
Design of Runway 9-27
EHI’s tasks involved environmental coordination/ permitting, utility relocation and coordination, clearing and grubbing plans, fencing plans, and temporary and permanent erosion control with the design of the new Runway 9-27.
Design of Taxiway “D” Relocation & Corporate Ramp Addition
This project works to enhance operations and traffic flow at the airport. EHI has been responsible for grading and drainage design for the ramp, future hangars, and vehicular parking as well as a Tenant Relocation Management Plan.
Design of Terminal Drive Relocation & Auto Parking Addition
EHI is responsible for utility design and coordination, fencing relocation and design, storm sewer design, erosion control plans and environmental coordination/ permitting associated with the relocated Terminal Drive and addition of parking.

Heartland Parkway
EHI is working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to provide the preliminary engineering and environmental studies for Phase I of the Heartland Parkway. The roadway design for this project is intended to improve safety and capacity on the KY 55 corridor between Campbellsville and Columbia, Kentucky. Responsibilities include preliminary design of approximately 2.5 miles of roadway, analyzing safety improvements, development of preliminary line and grade plans, roadway alignments, design entrances, drainage and alignment development.
Louisville, Indiana, Southern Ohio River Bridges- Kennedy Interchange
EHI is involved in the Kennedy Interchange redesign in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. This urban interchange is located at the convergence of three major interstates serving the area (I-64, I-65 and I-71). EHI is responsible for engineering tasks associated with the project which include development of highway alignment and profile plans, drainage plans, traffic maintenance plans, pavement development sheet plans, and bicycle/pedestrian path alignment and profile plans.
