The FutureGen Kentucky proposal submission was managed and prepared by a team of professionals led by ECSI and assisted by EHI Consultants in the preparation and submission of the proposal document to the FutureGen Industrial Alliance for the purpose of constructing and operating the world’s first coal based, near zero emissions power plant proposed to be located on a site in western Kentucky.
The project team of ECSI and EHI and others organized the effort of gathering a variety of relevant data, assessing the relevance of data to be incorporated into the proposal submission and providing additional research and analysis of data and information that met the requirements of the FutureGen Alliance selection Committee.
 
Project Experience

The project team gathered, analyzed, edited and organized the proposal data that was incorporated into the final proposal submission. The project team worked with the various State of Kentucky agencies consisting of:

  • Office of Energy Policy
  • Kentucky Public Service Commission
  • Commonwealth Office of Technology
  • Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet
  • Cabinet for Economic Development
  • Kentucky Geological Survey
  • Finance and Administration Cabinet
  • Transportation Cabinet
  • Department of Revenue

Project team management produced the document that addressed the proposal requirements that were assessed to be in compliance with the following required criteria:

  • Power Plant Qualifying and Scoring Criteria
  • Geological Storage Qualifying and Scoring Criteria
  • Best Value Assessment
  • Multi Collaboration
  • Comment on Contractual Terms and Conditions
