EHI led the planning efforts in the development the Southend Park Urban Village Plan, Lexington, Kentucky. EHI was the project manager and urban planner leading a design team of Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects and Bluegrass Tomorrow, in the planning and redevelopment of the Southend Park Neighborhood.

This project consists of the planning and design of a 25 acre urban neighborhood near downtown Lexington that will be impacted by the extension of the Newtown Pike Roadway.

EHI lead the effort in assessing the neighborhoods existing conditions, analyzing data, participating in stakeholder meetings, developing strategies for redevelopment consisting of; urban infill – commercial, residential and mixed uses, recreational uses, business development strategies, live work concepts, and urban design concepts and final plan development.
